Jason Mersman, Taxes & Consulting;Retired CPA

 After graduating from National University in 1994, Jason began his CPA training at BDO Seidman affiliate offices. He found that he was interested in everything so he dabbled in auditing, corporate and individual taxes, and various pieces of consulting engagements.

After several years at BDO, a 4 year stint as corporate controller of Aqualung America (a multi-national scuba diving gear company) and some consulting work for other CPA firms, in 2007 Jason put all his efforts into Peak Accounting.  According to Jason, “With the running of my own accounting practice I am able to place more emphasis on areas that bring me great happiness; serving clients while maintaining work/life balance and deepening into compassion in all aspects of my life.”

That, his family, home improvement projects, and various hobbies that come and go round out his life.

Jason's work days outside of tax season are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
